You can find posters inviting to join the union in the UT buildings. The poster depicts a warning strike in 2019, which affected the achievement of 1% of GDP for science, and a demonstration in Toompea in 2020, during which a people's initiative was handed over to the Speaker of the Riigikogu Henn Põlluaasa. In addition to the need to finance research, the people's initiative also highlighted the need to finance higher education in the amount of 1.5% of GDP and the need to continue free higher education in Estonia.

Invite your colleague to join the union! Only then can things get better when there are enough people who do not just want change, but work to bring it about. By law, authorized representatives of employees (trade unions) have the right to demand changes but as long as a larger number of employees do not stand behind the trade union, decision-makers can disregard these demands.
