Holiday home in Pärnu

Each summer, the Tartu University Faculty Association offers its members the opportunity to relax at a seasonal holiday resort in Pärnu, located within the Pärnu Raeküla School’s building (Käo 4). The resort is equipped with new beds and mattresses, and guests can also rent bedlinen for 3€ per set. Guests have access to a refrigerator, toaster, sandwich maker, microwave, and kettle. The resort offers five-day holidays in July and August. For members of the Tartu University Faculty Association and members of their immediate family (spouse, partner, child, or grandchild), the cost of the resort accommodation is currently 6€ per day. A five-day holiday costs 30€ in total. Reservations can be made through the Tartu University Faculty Association.

Free work-related legal advice

The Tartu University Faculty Association offers its members free legal advice for work-related issues. Legal advice is provided by the Estonian Trade Union Confederation lawyer, to whom the Tartu University Faculty Association refers its members.

Free consultations for work-related issues

The Tartu University Faculty Association assists its members in the resolution of work-related issues by offering free consultations, concrete action, and moral support.

Partial compensation for prescription glasses

The Tartu University Faculty Association offers its members a partial compensation for prescription glasses. To receive compensation, please submit the relevant application along with the receipt of purchase to the Tartu University Faculty Association.

Stipendiumid magistrandile ja doktorandile

One of the goals of the Tartu University Faculty Association is to support those master’s and doctoral students who study at the University of Tartu and are members of the Faculty Association, and whose research is connected to the Tartu University Faculty Association’s work and ideals (including research connected to social coherence in general). The scholarship is 250€ for master’s students and 500€ for doctoral students.

Death grant

The Tartu University Faculty Association offers its members a death grant of 128€ in the event of a family member’s death. To receive the grant, a member must submit the relevant application, along with a copy of the death certificate, to the Tartu University Faculty Association.

The Tartu University Faculty Association is a member of the Estonian Trade Union Confederation: our members are therefore entitled to the discounts available to members of the Estonian Trade Union Confederation. Major discounts include discounts on petrol at Alexela, Circle K, and Olerex, a discount on Alexela electricity and natural gas for domestic heating systems, special offers from Büroomaailm, and discounts at various spas and therapy centres across Estonia. As an example, in addition to other discounts, Alexela, Circle K, and Olerex offer cardholding members a discount of 3.0, 3.2, and 3.6 cents per litre of fuel respectively.
